This was our second visit to Ballycanal and we got the same cottage. It was clean with a full kitchen, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery. Two bedrooms with their own bathrooms, and a large sitting room with plenty of seating. The cottage has its own parking space. The staff are friendly and helpful and very genuine. It is a wonderful location close enough to Moira to walk. It is also close to Moira train station where you can get the train to Belfast City. I thoroughly recommend Ballycanal cottages as a good choice to stay!.

We got Married in Aghagallon last week and booked most of the cottages as well as the Manor House for our family and friends. The staff were lovely, very accommodating. We were allowed into the properties early to stock it for our guests arriving, they allowed late check out which helped with guests who had later flights. They even made up the rooms in the Manor House, which was a pleasant surprise, as it was booked as self-catering. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Came here with my partner as we had heard it was a great location and such lovely cottages so we thought we would give it a go. When we arrived we where shown to our cottage which was very clean, modern nice surroundings and perfectly equipped. There is plenty of car parking space and loads of room in the court yard for children to play, it also has gates that can keep them safe from traffic. It’s a short walk from the village of moira which has loads of coffee shops and is good for a stroll (if the weather is nice). We both wanted to have an alcoholic beverage in the cottage before we left to head out that evening, we quickly realised the train station is literally a 2 minute walk so we both got the train to our destination and had a taxi booked that night for the return journey. We definitely recommend this location as it’s central and close the main road. We will definitely be booking again and highly recommend this to anyone thinking of staying here.

Well what can I say about this place? Set in a nice easy to find location and run by some incredibly friendly people. We are already planning on coming back with friends in the future and having looked at both the self catering and the B&B we cannot decide which on we are going to choose. The self catering cottages are of a very high standard and although the B&B is undergoing improvements you can already see the quality that it is going to be. Easy access to Moira town and only a short walk to the station if you don’t feel like driving. Thank you once again to all at Ballycanal.
